Network programming. My target (at least two) DNS servers respond with TTL's below 1 hour
I have a network problem. I would really appreciate some help.
I have a router in my network that acts as the DHCP server. The DHCP server has a lease for a DHCP IP address for ~72 hours. I've noticed that when I run an application that needs to connect to a server I try to ping to the server, my target DNS server gives me the TTL of a server I know to be offline, and has been offline for over 24 hours.
The configuration is the following:
I use DHCP on both the router and my PC, both which get their IP addresses from the router via DHCP. I have one static IP address on my PC that is used to contact a server.
The static IP address of the server is assigned by the DHCP of the router.
The problem is that the DNS of my target server I've tried pinging is telling me that the server is offline when the target server ISN'T offline!
The target server is a cPanel that takes a lot of time to start responding. So I don't know if it's because of the cPanel, or if it's not a problem on the target server or if it's the network or something else. I have several other targets with the same configuration that work like a charm.
The static IP address on my PC is:
192.168.1.108
The static IP address of the target server is:
192.168.1.72
